CALIFORNIA: Six arrested in motorcycle confrontation

A brief brawl between motorcycle clubs on the 1600 block of West Grand Avenue, led to the arrest of six men Sunday, the Porterville Police Department reported.

According to reports, at around 1:52 p.m. police officers responded to a fight taking place in the roadway between several men.

When they arrived, officers separated the men, and called PPD detectives on scene because there were so many involved.

Detectives learned that Bakersfield residents William Pilkington Sr., 47, William Pilkington Jr., 25, Andre Pilkington, 20, and Fortino Delgadillo, 26 of Sacramento, and John Mazzola, 36 of Porterville, all members of a local bike club, picked the fight with several others from a rival club.

The victims reported they were driving their motorcycles on the road when the six suspects, most of who were also on motorcycles, began kicking the victims’ motorcycles to knock them to the ground.

When they arrived to the 1600 block of West Grand Avenue, the suspects reportedly continued the confrontation and began throwing bottles at the victims, nearly striking a child.

Pilkingtion Sr. reportedly pulled out a shotgun from his car and waved it at the victims.
Detectives later found the shotgun in his car, along with another firearm and a pair of brass knuckles.

Bustrum reportedly pretended to shoot the victims with his hand, and was arrested without incident on suspicion of intimidation.

The other five suspects were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Additionally, Pilkington Sr. was booked on suspicion of criminal threats and brandishing, Pilkington for child endangerment, and Mozolla for brass knuckles.

All were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy and booked into the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department.
