An alleged associate member of the Bandidos outlaw motorcycle gang has been charged in relation to a road rage assault which left another man in hospital.
About 10am yesterday (Saturday 2 July), a 40-year-old man and his wife, also 40, were in their car on Artillery Road, Seven Hills, when he inadvertently sounded his vehicle’s horn.
A man travelling in the passenger seat of a four-wheel-drive behind immediately left his vehicle and began kicking the couple’s car and punching the man in the head. He then returned to the four-wheel-drive which was driven away.
Just minutes later, the driver and passenger from the four-wheel-drive returned and began punching the man until he fell to the ground. They then kicked him as he lay on the ground before leaving in the four-wheel-drive.
The 40-year-old man suffered extensive bruising to his face, neck, back and torso and was taken to Blacktown Hospital.
After speaking with witnesses, police began patrolling the area for the four-wheel-drive and located it on the Prospect Highway.
A 28-year-old alleged associate member of the Bandidos was placed under arrest and taken to Blacktown Police Station.
He was charged with common assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company, affray, driver not disclose identity of passenger and breach of bail.
He was refused bail to face Parramatta Bail Court later today.
