OUTLAW bikie gangs are using sophisticated hidden cameras embedded in sunglasses to spy on police.
Police have been warned that gangs have adopted the pinhole cameras which have been built into normal sunglasses to gather evidence against officers.
The camera glasses are available online, priced from $140 to almost $500, depending on brand and quality.
Some of the videos have been uploaded on to YouTube, but officers believe bikies could use the vision to gather a dossier against individual officers.
"We have no problem being recorded," said one senior officer.
"We have been recording them for years. If you're not doing anything wrong, then you don't have a problem.
"We have nothing to fear from being recorded, but it is the editing that could be a problem."
YOUR SAY,
"Fair is fair. When in a public place your expectation of privacy is severley diminished. That goes for police as well. When talking to anyone in authority it is prudent to take notes, make a recording. this is just prudent. Some police do over step their authority and make things personal. Recording goes towards a balance for all.Road user loose the attitude and police loose the bully authority and we have a balance.Take every ticket to court and the system will crumble."
