AUSTRALIA - Arrests after NSW raids on bikies...

Five alleged members of the Rebels bikie gang and two associates have been charged following a major sting on the NSW central coast.

More than 150 police carried out 11 searches on homes and businesses about 6am (AEST) on Wednesday, seizing weapons, drugs, stolen goods and cash.

They were targeting bikie-related activities and offences in a sting known as Operation Converge II.

Raids were carried out at The Entrance, Tumbi Umbi, Forresters Beach, Terrigal, Buff Point, Bateau Bay, Manning Park, Niagara Park, and Warners Bay.

Police allegedly uncovered rifles, cannabis, steroids, cocaine, a stun gun, amphetamines, 80 Oxycontin tablets and more than $10,000 in cash, as well as $4000 worth of stolen sunglasses.

Seven people, aged from 22 to 54, were arrested, including five members of the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang and two associates, police said.

They have been charged with a range of offences, including possessing a prohibited drug, possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of steroids, and drug and stolen goods offences.
