Biker Rights Issues
Izzy Wildheart and the Big House Crew were the first international biker source to receive the President's Volunteer Service Award from FreedomAction League & B.A.D. {Bikers Against Discrimination} for their tireless efforts in bringing unjust 81 cases to the public light for support -during the "1st Annual Support Jam" for B.A.D. on March 28th,2010 held at the 69ERS MC NCC clubhouse in Troy,New York.
Izzy humbly dedicated the award to Paul HAMC London who also worked tirelessly for the BHC and to Charger HAMC London who died March 27th, 2010 -"both brothers and friends who have been in our lives for 40 years". Although Izzy & Bighousecrew.net are stationed in England, the award was presented via cell phone by Hermis Yanis,Jr. during the Hermis Live show at the B.A.D. event. The award was personally received by Izzy and the HAMC clubhouse in England thru airmail several days later.
The first Motorcycle Clubs to ever receive the President's Award were the Hells Angels Nomads NY and the 69ERS MC NCC in 2008 for their benefit runs to assist the less fortunate and their communities and in 2009 the BoozeFighters MC Mountain Chapter also received the award.
The B.A.D. event was well attended by a mix of 1%ERS, club riders, biker news media sources and biker rights supporters to hear the words of B.A.D. Exec. Director, Hank McGrath & Admin Director Chuck Decost in their 2010 plan of attack against bias & discrimination bikers suffer. "Our primary focus is not on helmet laws, not on pipe
restrictions, per se - Its on the quality of life, liberty and freedom the biker culture has EQUAL to that of everyone else in America",McGrath said.
Other award recipients were Don Birch of SawMill Tavern, Lee of Broadway Choppers, Carmella Brown & the NY Rider Mag Team, Ruppert of 69ERS MC NCC, Eddie of 69ERS MC NCC, Larry Tremblay, Sr. & Marine Tribute Bike and a host of others.
