One man was killed and another wounded in a shooting outside a motorcycle club in western Louisville on Sunday morning, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Wendell Ortiz, 52, of the 400 block of North 43rd Street, was pronounced dead at the scene, said Sam Weakley, a Jefferson County deputy coroner.
Dwight Mitchell, a police spokesman, said officers received calls about a shooting in the 2400 block of Magazine Street about 5:30 a.m., and they found the two men outside the Satan’s Sidekick Motorcycle Club upon arrival.
Ortiz was pronounced dead. And the other man, whose name has not been released, was taken to University Hospital, where he is in critical but stable condition, Mitchell said.
Louisville homicide detectives are investigating, and there are no suspects at this time, he said.
He asked that anyone with information call the police anonymous tip hotline at 574-LMPD
