AUSTRAILIA - Vic police raid bikie clubhouse

OFF THE WIRE
POLICE have raided a second bikie clubhouse in Victoria in less than a month as part of a crackdown on crime linked to outlaw motorcycle gangs.
Detectives on Friday raided the Comanchero clubhouse in Williamstown, in Melbourne's inner west, and questioned a 42-year-old man.
Police said the daytime raid was part of an ongoing Echo Taskforce investigation focused on liquor licensing breaches at bikie clubhouses.
Detective Superintendent Doug Fryer said police will continue investigating all aspects of criminal behaviour linked to bikie gangs, no matter how big or small.
"We expect local football clubs to abide by licensing laws and bikie clubhouses shouldn't be treated any different," he said in a statement.
Two weeks ago, police raided the Melbourne headquarters of the Hells Angels and charged a long-time member with drug possession.
Earlier, five raids on homes across the city linked to bikie gangs uncovered guns and drugs, and ended in the arrest of seven men.
