Biker group remembers fallen Nebraska soldiers

HASTINGS, Neb. (AP) - More than 150 motorcyclists have paid their respects to two Adams County soldiers killed in Iraq in 2007.

The American Legion Riders of Lincoln held a wreath-laying ceremony Saturday at the graves of Army 1st Lt. Kevin Gaspers and Army Sgt. Wayne Cornell.

Coordinator Charles Fattig says it's part of a 3-year effort to show Nebraska's fallen soldiers haven't been forgotten.

Another wreath-laying ceremony is planned for Hays Springs in June.

Gaspers, a Hastings native, died April 23, 2007. Cornell, who grew up in Holstein, died March 19, 2007.
