Explorer Antony Jinman has successfully completed a 730-mile journey to the South Pole, with only a drone for company.
The first toy to reach the southernmost point on Earth, the Parrot AR Drone 2.0 Power Edition is a quadricopter – a drone kept aloft by four propellers.
The drone is equipped with a 720p HD camcorder that records aerial footage which can be sent to a smartphone.
As power points are in short supply in the Antarctic, the drone was powered by built-in solar panels.

During the trek photos and video were sent back to 200 schoolchildren across the UK as part of the not for profit Education Through Expeditions charity which aims to teach children about climate change.
Jinman is no stranger to the Antarctic – this is his 15th mission to the South Pole. Check out the video above to find out more about his latest adventure.
