Florida - Warlocks Shooting Details

Last week police finally began to make public details of a shooting in Winter Springs, Florida on September 30. Five members of the Warlocks Motorcycle Club mothered in Orlando were allegedly shot by four members of the Warlocks Motorcycle Club founded and headquartered in Philadelphia. The Florida Warlocks wear a Warbird-Phoenix patch. The Philly Warlocks wear a Harpy.
Three of the victims, Harold “Lil Dave” Liddle, Peter “Hormone” Schlette and Dave “Dresser” Jakiela died. Jakiela, who was an architect in Orlando, was shot in the back of the head.
The men accused in the shooting are Harpy Warlocks David “Tin Man” Maloney, Robert William “Willy” Eckert, Victor Manuel “Pancho” Amaro and Paul Wayne Smith. Three of them are former Warbird Warlocks. All four are charged with three counts of second degree murder and two counts of attempted murder. Amaro is also charged with being a felon in possession of a gun.

Ambush
Police describe the shooting as an ambush. The five victims had just pulled into the VFW parking lot where the charity poker run was staged when the Harpy Warlocks who were sponsoring the event opened fire on them. Their only warning was “Get the fuck out. We don’t want you here,” According to police, two of the victims were still on their bikes when they were shot.
Maloney shot a Warbird Warlock outside Jonny Rotton’s Bar Out Back in Sanford, Florida in 2011. He was not charged after claiming to have acted in self-defense.
One of the Warbird Warlocks who was shot talked to police after the incident. According to public records the wounded man said none of the five victims knew the event was hosted by the Harpy Warlocks and their intentions were good hearted. “If I was coming here to do something that would not be the crew I would bring,” he said. “And I would not bring five people, man.”
Warbird Warlocks National President John “Big John” Boudreau told the Orlando Sentinel, that members of his club “were warned not to go” to the poker run.
According to police all four of the accused were armed and one of the Warbird Warlocks was armed. Two of the accused men, including Maloney, were wearing bullet proof vests.

Self Defense
Maloney has already stated that he and the other accused acted in self-defense. When he was arrested he told police that he had been hiding under a car and had only aimed his .380 caliber pistol at a brick wall. Two of the victims were between Maloney and that brick wall.
According to police, Maloney was carrying three pistols and had “two Mossberg 12-gauge shotguns, a .38-caliber revolver and a.357-magnum revolver along with a bullet-proof vest and an undisclosed amount of ammunition” in his car.
Last week in court Maloney’s lawyer, Michael LaFay, said Maloney was inside the VFW hall when the victims started the gunfight. Maloney claims he came under fire as soon as he stepped outside. “My client was a Johnnie-come-lately,” the lawyer said. “He was not part of any ambush.”
Police have been secretive about this case.
All four of the accused are being held without bail at the John E. Polk Correctional Facility in Sanford, Florida.
