A New Orleans man found with a van stolen from a hotel parking lot apparently used it to steal from an apartment complex.
Police arrested Milton Nathan Faulkner after a foot chase early Friday, police Sgt. Adam Cooper said. Police said a caller reported seeing a motorcycle disappear from the Columns apartments on Courthouse Road about 3:00 AM. A van drove up next to it, when the van left, the motorcycle was gone.
Police found the van on US 49 and Landon Road and tried to stop it. Faulkner jumped out of the van near Charles Street, Cooper said, but officers captured him. Police said they found the three motorcycles all from the Column parking lot, inside the delivery van. The can was reported stolen from the Best Western Hotel on US 49.
Faulkner was held on bail of $45,000. He is charged with auto theft, and the investigation continues.
