Canada - Reports are suggesting the 43-year-old man shot and wounded at a plumbing store in Outremont Monday morning was once a biker gang member who spent some time behind bars in the 2000s. Bruno Lefebvre was a one-time 'prospect' of the Hells Angels elite Nomads' squad, the one headed by jailed biker boss Maurice Mom Boucher.
At the height of the biker wars of the late 90s and early 2000s, Lefebvre was a member of the Rockers, a kind of 'farm team' for the Nomads, and among other things, it was his job to intimidate small-time drug dealers and 'persuade' them to buy their supply from the Hells Angels.
He was one of the bikers swept up in Operation Spring 2001, and was sentenced to 11 years in prison for various crimes, including gangsterism, drug trafficking and conspiracy.
He had been out on parole at the time of the shooting.
