At 6:05 p.m., police were dispatched to the Main and Campbell streets area for several reports of three men carrying a rifle. Police found two 19-year-old Woburn residents and one 19-year-old Winchester resident walking on the street, matching the callers’ description of the men carrying the rifle. Police found the rifle, which was a black Winchester air rifle, but the men denied carrying it on the street. Officers advised the men that there are consequences to carrying such an item on the street. The air rifle was taken and entered into property at WPD.
At 6:21 p.m., police responded to a report of threats on Ford Terrace. According to police, a resident reported receiving several threats about stolen property via text message. Police advised the resident to not reply to the messages, which said that representatives from the Hell’s Angels would be stopping by to pick up the stolen property. While police were on scene, a truck pulled up to the house, said officers. Police spoke to those inside, and the driver said they were there to pick up stolen property. The driver told police he is a member of the Hell’s Angels, but did not make any threats and did not “condone” using the Hell’s Angels name to make threats. A woman in the truck admitted to making the threats, and told police she just wanted her stolen property back. Police advised her to report the stolen property and not try to take matters into her own hands.
