Don't lose the opportunity before riding season starts in earnest!

The Massachusetts Motorcycle Association continues to strengthen its Safety & Awareness program and is excited to continue to expand its association with Accident Scene Management, Inc. because while we all know that education is a key to safer riding, crashes still occur.  In fact, according to the ASMI website, motorcycles are involved in 17% of all roadway crashes, and motorcyclists are 8x more likely to be seriously injured in a crash.  While we all hope it doesn’t happen to us, are we prepared to assist when it happens around us?
If you were riding this season and came across an accident scene, would you know what to do?
If you were riding this season and you or someone in your group were in an accident, would you be prepared?

The Massachusetts Motorcycle Association takes Motorcycle Safety very seriously, and would like to let you know about some upcoming classes for 2012 which will help you answer, "YES!" to these questions.  Offered by Accident Scene Management, Inc (ASMI), these classes have already become extremely popular in New England and are a staple of many riding clubs.

The goals of the Bystander Assistance Program are to enhance the survival rate and reduce severity of injuries for the injured riders of all open recreational vehicles as well as decreasing the chance of rescuer injury due to inappropriate actions at a crash scene.  The course also covers ways for motorcyclists to protect themselves legally and financially should a crash occur.

Instructional materials will be provided to participants along with a framable certificate of completion and a 100% embroidered patch.  Safety, First Aid, and Trauma products will also be available for optional purchase by S.O.S. Products.

Registration is made directly on the ASMI website, and payment is then made directly to the instructor.

Visit http://www.accidentscene.net/ for further information on any of these classes or to register!
