Various theories are surfacing about why members of the Hell's Angels would show up at the private funeral for a Delta teen who died after a savage beating.

But the appearance by the biker gang may not be so sinister.

The admission by Delta Police that Hell's Angels members attended Laura Szendrei's private funeral, without much clarification, has led to a number of rumours, including some that give possible motives for the teen's death.

But sources tell CKNW the possibility the gang is connected to Szendrei's death is very unlikely.

We're told Szendrei's father and uncle grew up with people who ended up becoming Hell's Angels members, and their role in the funeral was simply to support a friend.

Neither men have ever been members of the motorcycle club, or are believed to be involved in criminal activities.
