Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame Announces 2013 Inductees

"Still" Ray Fitzgerald will be inducted into the Freedom Fighters Hall of Fame for his efforts to protect motorcycling.
The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame has announced the 2013
inductees into the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum Hall of Fame and the
Freedom Fighters Hall of Fame.
The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum Hall of Fame is designed to recognize
individuals or groups who have made a long-term impact on the motorcycle
community, while the Freedom Fighters Hall of Fame recognizes the
commitment and sacrifices individuals have made to protect the rights of
motorcyclists.
"Still" Ray Fitzgerald, president of The Journeymen's Motorcycle Club
and chairman of the Arizona Confederation of Clubs, is the sole Freedom
Fighters inductee. He has helped successfully build a number of ABATE
chapters throughout Arizona, and was the Motorcycle Rights Foundation's
first Sustaining Motorcycle Club Representative.
2013 Sturgis Motorcycle Museum Hall of Fame inductees include:
• Russ Brown, creator of legal assistance service BAM.
• Rick Fairless, speaker, columnist and custom bike builder.
• Bill Gikling, dealership owner and recipient of the J.C. "Pappy" Hoel Outstanding Achievement Award
• Marjoe Gortner, organizer of the "Sturgis: The Great Ride" television show
• Lonnie Isam, Sr., antique motorcycle collector and expert
The annual Sturgis Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction Breakfast is
scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 9 a.m. at The Lodge at Deadwood in
Deadwood, S.D., and is sponsored by The Buffalo Chip Campground and
Black Hills Harley-Davidson. Breakfast tickets are available for a $35
donation, or $300 for a table of eight.
