Neveda - Man stabbed after argument with aquaintance during Street Vibrations

SPARKS --  A friendly night out eating and having fun turned bad when an argument broke out and lead to the stabbing of one of the men.
The Sparks Police Department received a 911 call from a woman reporting that a man had been stabbed in the parking garage on the third floor of the Nugget Hotel and Casino.
The witness provided a description of the vehicle she believed the suspect left in. Officers located the vehicle containing the suspect and another witness in front of the parking garage on Nugget Ave. The victim was found by responding officers with several wounds consistent with knife lacerations as reported.
 The parties involved in this incident were intoxicated and mostly uncooperative with Detectives during the investigation.
Witnesses detailed an argument that led to a physical altercation between the victim and the suspect that began in the parking garage. It is believed that the victim and suspect were coming from a local restaurant and had been eating together before the confrontation. Ultimately, the suspect stabbed the victim.
The suspect wore clothing that was consistent with the membership and association of a local outlaw motorcycle gang and in the company of his associates who wore similar clothing. However, There is no indication that this was a gang on gang incident, but rather a argument that broke out between aquaintances that were intoxicated.
All parties attended the Street Vibrations Spring festivities on Victorian Avenue prior to entering the parking garage and were intoxicated.
The suspect, later identified as Harold Nolte, was  arrested for one count of Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Possesion of a Dangerous Weapon. The victim was admitted to a local hospital and is now resting comfortably with injuries that were determined to be minor.
The investigation is ongoing at this time. Witnesses to the crime are asked to call Sparks Police Department at 353-2231 or Secret Witness at 322-4900.

The parties involved in this incident were intoxicated and mostly uncooperative with Detectives during the investigation.  It is believed that the victim and suspect were coming from a local restaurant and had been eating together before the confrontation.  They walked to the Nugget's parking garage, where Nolte got into a verbal confrontation with the victim.  During that confrontation, Nolte stabbed the victim multiple times, before someone intervened and broke up the fight.  There is no indication that this was a gang on gang incident, but rather a argument that broke out between aquaintances that were intoxicated.  Any witnesses are still encouraged to contact the Sparks Police Department or Secret Witness.
