Delays are expected on certain roads in south Cumbria this afternoon as bikers stage a mass demonstration against EU legislation on motorcycles.
The protest involves members of Motorcycle Action Group (MAG), and is one of 12 demos taking place across the UK.
The bikers are planning to meet at Greenodd, near Ulverston at 1pm, before riding at 40mph to Kirkby Lonsdale. The protest is expected to cause delays on the A590 and A65.
Paul Turner, MAG rep for Cumbria, said:
"We're all protesting against the EU legislation as they're basically interfering with bike riding.
"They're trying to make things like ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) compulsory. When you're riding a bike, you don't actually want ABS on all the time. You want to be able to switch it off."
