Bexley man and former national president of the Commanchero Motorcycle Club, Mahmoud ‘‘Mick’’ Hawi, was found guilty this afternoon of murdering a rival bikie associate, Anthony Zervas, at Sydney Airport two years ago. A jury has been deliberating for a number of weeks at the Sydney West Trial Courts, Parramatta.
The jury also found Hawi, 31, guilty of affray.
The brawl was between Commanchero and Hells Angels gang members.
The judge, Justice Robert Allan Hulme is expected to set a date tomorrow for Hawi’s sentencing.
