Dozens of Hells Angels from all over the country are converging on Kelowna.
They'll be here for a big ride this long weekend.
"Some individuals involved in these gangs are criminally active. In this case, when there are events like this, they can come off uneventfully but there have been assaults and criminal acts that have occurred," says Sergeant Shinder Kirk from the Outlaw Motorcycle Gang Enforcement Unit.
His officers will be here, ready to spring if there's any trouble.
"Go about your business, enjoy the first long weekend of the summer, knowing full well that there'll be officers out monitoring these groups, gathering intelligence and ready to intervene, should anything occur," says Kirk.
He say mostly conflicts happen among the bikers themselves, but sometimes alcohol fuels brawls with other members of the community.

this quote is great. "Some individuals involved in these gangs are criminally active" So am i to take it the police gangs never participate in criminal activity? (please dont make me get countless storys about them doing that)
"the comment about brawls with members of the community should be adjusted to say some drunk idiots may want to show there stuff and challenge a member of the club and get stomped, because the club genneraly will be the last to want this kind of attention from the press.
They say ignorance is bliss, and i guess it is if you only listen to the police.
Do me a favor and meet some of the guys, im sure your whole outlook just might change. I know everyone that i know had theres changed once the brainwashing was taken away.
