More details are coming to light over a well-known face on the motorcycle drama ‘Sons of Anarchy’ and his arrest which seemed to blend fiction with reality.
The actor who plays the bookkeeper of a of fictional motorcycle gang, SAMCRO on the FX hit ‘Sons of Anarchy’ took the shows backdrop of members clashing with the law to the real streets of Glendale, California on Tuesday.
Mark Hiedrich, 55, of Los Angeles, a.k.a. the actor Mark Boone Junior who plays Bobby Munson on ‘Sons of Anarchy’, was taken into custody about 4:40 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of misdemeanor resisting arrest and misdemeanor battery on a peace officer according to Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz.
Initially pulled over for allegedly talking on a cellphone and not wearing a seat belt, what should have been a routine stop took a strange turn when an argument between the officer and Hiedrich intensified.
"He was in a rush to get to someplace and unfortunately it escalated," authorities have said.
Reportedly Hiedrich tried to strike the officer after he had fallen while trying to place the actor in handcuffs, bringing more officers to the scene and ultimately leading to the arrest of ‘Bobby Munson’.
But before his fellow SAMCRO members could pull together a breakout plan, Heidrich was released later Tuesday night after posting a $20,000 bond.
