Warriors Speak in Honor of Your Support

OFF THE WIRE

You Are the Key
to Changing Lives

“My biggest fear while on my back in the hospital bed was I would not be able to do the things I loved anymore. But WWP got me involved in some outdoor events and they showed me otherwise.”

“The camaraderie with other warriors helps you share experiences – bounce things off each other; what has helped you, and what has helped them.”

Dear Philip,

Your support of Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) is not only meaningful to America's injured warriors — it plays a key role in changing their lives. I'd like you to read what these heroes have to say about the impact you have made during their recovery.

After reflecting on their heartfelt words, I hope you'll be moved to stand by injured warriors during their difficult journey.

William E. Thomas, Jr. describes how powerfully the WWP community has changed his life since his injury:

“WWP had such a profound effect on me. I could communicate with other warriors about our traumas and how it affected us. It was an opportunity to talk to people who know exactly what I’m talking about — those who were directly involved in some of the same things that I’ve experienced.”

Brian Schwitters speaks of his experience at a Project Odyssey™:

“It showed me I’m not alone. It opened up my eyes to the wealth of information and benefits at WWP and all the resources available to individuals.”

You are the support system wounded veterans need through their recovery. Every time an injured warrior or family member thanks WWP, their gratitude rightly belongs to you. That’s why I want to share their words with you and why I’m counting on you to appreciate the urgent need for your continued support of WWP programs and services.

Thank you for all you do to empower our heroes.

Sincerely,

Steven Nardizzi
