Now what?
To all ... and especially to those who voted for Barack Obama,
My
wife woke up this morning and put this whole situation into words when
she said, "Oh Sweetie, are we really living this nightmare?" When she
opened the Internet, the first story that popped up was titled, "Gay
marriage, marijuana backed in historic votes." Truly, America has turned
toward Sodom and Gomorrah. It has rejected a biblical world view.
The
election of Barack Obama in 2012 was accomplished by a coalition of
people who voted based upon their own biases ... whether that be for
less morality, less personal responsibility, less biblical life, less of
a Republican presence, more government, or for the love and support of
the Democratic Party with which they stand.
In the Bible, the prophet Jeremiah writes the word God had spoken to
him: "Has a nation ever changed its gods? (Yet they are not gods at
all.) But my people have exchanged their Glory for worthless idols. Be
appalled at this, O heavens, and shudder with great horror," declares
the LORD. "My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the
spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken
cisterns that cannot hold water." Jeremiah 2:11-13
Yesterday, this nation had a choice between a man who promised to
turn us in a different direction morally, economically, and even
spiritually, and a man who will
certainly continue to lead us toward greater immorality, economic
destruction, and spiritual apathy and decay. Yesterday, this nation
voted to continue to live in a spirit of denial and licentiousness.
Four
years ago I was so broken over the election of President Obama ... not
because of him personally, but because what he represents and stands for
... and especially because of how the people of our nation cast their
vote: 95% of African Americans voted for him ... as did 75% of Hispanics
and 75% of Jews. The question that haunted and tormented me was, "Where
were all of the biblical believers in God?" Three days into my struggle
the Lord whispered in my spirit, "All is being revealed." In this
election, the choice was even clearer. This time, all has been revealed
again - but with an even louder voice.
As a nation, we have ignored 911, Katrina, Irene, Sandy, Benghazi,
and our own economic, social, and moral woes. We have even ignored
Barack Obama's record ... including his snubbing of Israel, his
allegiance to Islam, his enthusiastic support of abortion and
homosexuality, his attacks on Christianity and Judaism, and his reckless
spending ... and now will come the consequences. There have been
predictions that the dollar will completely implode perhaps as early as
the end of 2013. There are those who believe that The Tribulation will
soon begin. For those who voted for Barack Obama ... and for anyone who
voted Republican but is living in or is in support of any form of
idolatry or immorality, who are not pursuing God and the standards of
holy scripture with all of your hearts, I say this: Do not to complain,
do not even whimper when the destruction comes, when the dollar is of no
value, when pension funds are meaningless, when the government's power
is unleashed, and when moral, spiritual, and economic chaos ensues.
The majority of this nation has made it's choice, and as I
often say, "When the ship goes down, even the rats will die." Last night
and this morning as I felt the deep pain of being swept out to sea
along with those who have chosen this course for us all, I heard the
words of Jesus in my spirit who said, "When you do it to the least of
these, you have done it to me." The suffering of the many that will come
will be the fault of those who chose so poorly and so inconsistently
with the ways of the true and only Living God. Jesus is watching and has
said that it matters to him.
This nation is so far from God as a whole, and it got the President
it wanted and deserves. As a result, it will get more abortions, more
homosexuality, more reckless spending, more debt, more marijuana, more
attacks on Christianity and Judaism, more distance from Israel, and more
support of Islam. And, it will get more judgment.
I end with a quote from the book, The Harbinger, p. 213. "If America
upholds God's eternal
standards and follows His unchanging ways, then it will be blessed with
His favor ... His protection ... His prosperity. But if America should
depart from the ways of God, if it should disregard His eternal
standards, then the smiles of heaven, the blessings of God, will be
withdrawn - it's prosperity, it's protection, and its powers would be
taken away. He's giving a warning to this nation: 'The day America turns
away from God will be the day that begins the removing of it's
blessings.'"
So it shall be.
