Australia - WEST Australian Gang Crime Squad officers are
keeping a close eye on up to 200 members and associates of a bikie gang as they
head to Perth on their national run.
Police on Thursday said the Outlaws gang was currently passing through the
Norseman area in the Goldfields/Esperance region.
They said the Gang Crime Squad presence would be highly visible "to ensure local communities along the way are not exposed to antisocial behaviour and to ensure traffic laws are not breached and motorists are not put in danger".
"Operations such as this have proven to be successful in the past, and they will continue to be one of the many strategies used to make WA a hostile environment for OMCGs (outlaw motorcycle gangs) to operate in," police said.
