EL CAJON, Calif. -- The case against a reality TV star accused of committing a lewd act on an underage female relative remains under review, prosecutors said Wednesday.
Thomas Quinn, 43, was booked into San Diego Central Jail on Aug. 28, posted bail, and was given a court date for arraignment Wednesday. Prosecutors continue to mull over whether charges will be filed, said Tanya Sierra of the District Attorney's Office.
Quinn, of La Mesa, is featured in the Discovery Channel's "The Devil's Ride,'' which follows members of the "Laffing Devils'' motorcycle club.
He was arrested outside Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa on suspicion of committing a lewd act with a minor, La Mesa police Lt. Matt Nicholass said. Police did not elaborate on why Quinn was at the hospital.
The lieutenant also declined to release the victim's age or relationship to Quinn but according to published reports, she is his stepdaughter.
Nicholass said the investigation was prompted by a report from the family. Once police received the family's report, the case was assigned to a child abuse detective.
"That detective conducted a thorough investigation that ultimately led to the arrest of Mr. Quinn,'' Nicholass said.
The Discovery Channel show premiered in May and aired six episodes in its first season. It was unclear whether a second season has been ordered. Last week, members of the East County-based "Laffing Devils'' told Fox 5 that Quinn was no longer a members of their club.
