THIS is the face of the bikie accused of the Gold Coast shopping mall shooting - a face the police did not want the public to see.
The accused Finks bikie Mark James Graham, 26, is charged with opening fire inside the Robina Town Centre on Saturday, wounding a rival gxxg member and an innocent female shopper.
He was extradited to Queensland from Melbourne on Wednesday and yesterday police were taking full precautions to prevent an escalation of bikie violence at the Southport Court House. Dozens of uniformed and plain-clothed police blanketed the building and were on high alert, checking the IDs of everyone who tried to enter.
Graham was stoic and silent in court, with his facial tattoos on display including bikie tags "1%" and "66" and the words "carnage" and revenge". Police prosecutors took the unusual step of asking the court to order a three-day ban preventing the media from publishing his image but later withdrew the request.
He was formally charged with the attempted murder and unlawful wounding of Bandido Jacques Teamo and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm to a 53-year-old female bystander who was shot in the pelvis.
