Press Release
Fast Lane Biker, New York LLC announces New York Biker merger.
Fast Lane Biker, New York LLC has ceased hard copy publication of its popular Motorcycle Magazine to focus on providing both readers and clients with a new, interactive magazine that reaches a greater, more diverse audience.
New York, NY, March 5th, 2012: Owner Frank DiChristina has announced that he has ceased hard copy publication of Fast Lane Biker, New York LLC. Frank's decision was based on two factors. First, the rising cost of printing and distributing a quality magazine has risen to the point that, as a business, it is no longer profitable. Advertisers are paying more and more to reach less people. Frank states "The whole idea behind the magazine was to provide readers with the best quality magazine possible while providing our advertisers the best possible value. If I continued printing, the cost of advertising in Fast Lane Biker LLC would have had to rise, while the number of copies I could afford to print and distribute would have had to fall. That's not fair to our readers or our advertisers."
The second factor involved in the decision to focus on online publishing had to do with declining hard copy readership. Frank states "You don't see guys walking around with magazines hanging out of their back pocket any more. It's laptops, tablets, and smart phone's. People today prefer to get their news and information online. Online publishing is cost effective and utilizes "green technology". You're not wasting gasoline with distribution and you don't have to cut down any trees. You reach more people and a broader demographic at a lower cost which translates into a better value for our advertisers."
The decision to merge with New York Biker was a no brainer. New York Biker is the most popular New York Motorcycle Magazine online. It's readership is greater than all 5 New York Motorcycle publications combined. New York Biker has a stellar reputation and one of the few magazines of its kind to be an accredited member of the Better Business Bureau. Frank states "What I like most about

online publishing is the honesty and credibility that online publishing provides. With a hard copy publication, you can basically tell the client anything you want and there is no way for them to verify if what you're saying is true. Not so with online publishing. The numbers are available to anyone with a computer through free services like Alexa that track a site's popularity as well as allowing the customer to track the effectiveness of their Advertising Campaign. That's simply not possible with other advertising media. Our readers are getting a better quality magazine and our advertisers are getting more bang for their buck. This is in keeping with my original mission of providing readers with a high quality product while providing advertisers with the best possible value."
As the two companies merge, you'll begin to see more of what made Fast Lane Biker New York LLC one of the most popular motorcycle magazines in New York State appearing as New York Biker continues to improve upon the quality of its product and services. President of New York Biker, Anthony Overfield states, "The impact of what Frank DiChristina and Fast Lane Biker New York LLC brings to New York Biker is immeasurable. We share the same core values of honesty, trust, and supporting the motorcycle community through publication of a quality magazine. Frank's years of experience, skill, and the idea's and features that will be added to the site as a result of our partnership will greatly enhance our magazine as well as the service we supply to our clients."
