A shooting early Sunday morning at the Cow Palace during a private function for a motorcycle club injured two people, one seriously, police said.

Gunfire was reported at 12:55 a.m. Sunday near the South Hall of the arena, where members of the Bay Area Desperados Motorcycle Club were holding a private party, according to a police statement.

Police initially found a male victim who had been shot several times. He was rushed to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officers later found a woman at the gathering suffering from a single gunshot wound. She was also taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

A man fled the scene on a motorcycle and was followed by police. The man eventually lost control of his motorcycle on Highway 101 near the Cesar Chavez exit.

Police later determined the driver was not involved in the shooting. The man was injured in the fall from his motorcycle and hospitalized. He is expected to survive.

Police said a man wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt with orange lettering might have been involved in the shooting.

Anyone with information about the shooting can contact investigators with the Daly City Police Department at 650-991-8110.
