AZ - THREE POINTS - Two people are behind bars after police find a body, near the their home.
It happened early Tuesday morning off of Sierrita Mountain Road near Three Points.

40-year old Randall Pfeil's car was found Friday, the same day he was reported missing.

That investigation led police to the home of William Potter where Pfeil's buried body was found. Potter, a former member of the well known biker gang Hells Angels, is charged with 1st degree murder while his wife Karen Potter is charged with hindering prosecution.

The investigation took place in what most would call the middle of nowhere and it all started with an alert neighbor.

James Dastrup said, "I noticed a white pick up parked up on some cactus, so we thought it was a stolen vehicle or something, so I called 911 and reported it to the Sheriff's Department."

The car was registered to Randall Pfeil. Three days later, the investigation led authorities to the Potters.

Jason Ogan with the Pima County Sheriff's Department said, "Investigators observed a small patch of dirt that seemed to be freshly displaced, so they dug down into that and discovered Randall Scott Pfeil deceased in there."

And they quickly knew it was all related.

Ogan said, "The missing person is the victim. It has been confirmed that Randall Pfeil was the missing person from the July 9th initial call."

Deputies said the body was found with obvious signs of trauma and through interviews with the suspects and evidence, Potter was charged with murder.

Deputies would not comment on how the Potters knew the victim or the possible motive.
