Australia - Bikie club members from across Sydney converged on Brighton Le Sands on Saturday for a fundraiser to fight a ban being imposed on the Hells Angels.
New South Wales Police used their new anti-bikie powers for the first time this week, lodging an application with the Supreme Court to declare the Hells Angels a criminal organisation.
Spokesman for the Brotherhood Christian Motorcycle Club, Greg Hirst, says a wide cross-section of clubs attended , including the Hells Angels and the Comancheros.
New South Wales Police want to declare the Hells Angels a criminal organisation. Mr Hirst says the new laws are unnecessary and the case could set a dangerous precedent.
"Our club, which is a Christian club, and many other motorcycle clubs are here today because we're concerned about the legislation," he said.
"We're not opposed to governments and in fact it's their duty to stop criminal behaviour and stop violence but it's how they do that is the issue.
"We think this legislation is very dangerous."
