A man on a motorcycle shot and wounded three other men outside a nightclub in Echo Park today, police said. The shooting outside The Echo and Echoplex club on Sunset Boulevard near Alvarado Street about 2:15 a.m., Los Angeles police Sgt. Herb Chang of the Rampart Station said.
A man was shot in the chest, another in an arm, and a third man suffered a graze wound to the head, said Lt. Wes Buhrmester. All were expected to survive, he said.
The man who was shot in the chest was taken to County-USC Medical Center, Chang said. One of the other victims was believed to have been taken to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle, Chang said.
The suspect was described as a man about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 250 pounds, in a Hells Angels jacket and a black helmet, who was riding an unknown-type motorcycle.
Witnesses told police there was not a fight in club before the shooting, Buhrmester said.
