Both men pleaded not guilty at their arraignments.
Two motorcycle clubs were involved in an altercation which turned into a stabbing on Aug. 10, 2011. The Hells Angels Motorcycle Club and the Mongols Motorcycle Club were involved in the incident.
According to Sturgis Police Chief Jim Bush, the police responded to a call about a fight around 8 p.m. that night at the Hells Angels club house on Third Street. The fight escalated to a stabbing and resulted in a Hells Angels member and a Mongols member being taken to the hospital with what appeared to be stab wounds.
The Mongols are based out of California and have chapter mainly in the Pacific and Southwest regions.
The Hells Angels originate from San Bernadino, Calif. and have since spread nationwide. The Hells Angels have a heavy presence at the motorcycle rally each year, with booth set up along Main Street and a club house along Third Street.
