Colorado - Motorcycle Gang Member Arrested On Murder, Racketeering Charges

OFF THE WIRE
AURORA, Colo. -- An outlaw motorcycle gang member was arrested in an Aurora dollar store parking lot Tuesday on charges of racketeering and conspiracy to commit murder, authorities said.
Rasheed "Diamond" Brandon, 33, was arrested without incident at about 12:30 p.m. outside the Dollar Tree store at 13686 E. Alameda Ave., said Supervising Deputy U.S. Marshal Steven Wallisch.
Members of the Fugitive Location and Apprehension Group Task Force, which includes federal, state and local officers, had Brandon under surveillance, he said. Aurora police officers provided backup as the FLAG team moved in to arrest Brandon.
Brandon, who lives in Denver, was among 21 Wheels of Soul motorcycle gang members indicted two weeks ago by a St. Louis federal grand jury on charges that included racketeering, murder and kidnapping.
At the time, St. Louis FBI Special Agent in Charge Dennis Baker called the wide-ranging indictment and several arrests a "nationwide takedown (that) has disrupted and dismantled the Wheels of Soul by targeting the senior leaders."
Gang members are accused of murdering of a rival gang member in St. Louis in August 2009, committing murders in Illinois and Ohio, and extensive drug dealing in at least seven states, according to the 40-page indictment.
Brandon will likely appear in Denver federal court Wednesday and will eventually be transported to Missouri to face charges, Wallisch said.
