WA police say they are alarmed by the discovery of a cache of modified firearms linked to the Rock Machine biker gang.
Yesterday, police searched the car of a 39-year-old Edgewater man with connections to Rock Machine and seized a rifle, shotgun, semi-automatic and a large amount of ammunition.
Detective superintendent Charlie Carver says police are investigating several incidents in recent months between the Rock Machine and Rebel bikie gangs.
He says extra resources are being used to stop a war breaking out.
"What I would ask is the stupidity to stop, because this should not be happening and we are doing everything in our power to prevent it as you can see today, to take these firearms off the street, and we'll continue to do that," he said.
