Published: Saturday, September 4, 2010 3:55 PM CDT The Fontana Police Department conducted specialized motorcycle safety enforcement operations on Friday, Sept. 3.
Extra officers patrolled areas frequented by motorcyclists and where crashes occur. Officers cracked down on traffic violations made by motorcyclists as well as other vehicle drivers that can lead to motorcycle collisions, injuries, and fatalities.
As a result of this operation, 12 citations were issued and four motorcycles were impounded.

Funding for this program is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
