Do you think YOU can tell a DOT Standards Compliant Helmet

OFF THE WIRE
Do you think YOU can tell a DOT Standards Compliant Helmet from one that is not? Most of you would say DOT "APPROVED" helmet instead but thats inaccurate as DOT does not approve helmets. They simply allow helmet manufacturers who "Promise" to meet the DOT standards to put a DOT sticker on them. To make sure they are keeping their word DOT grabs a handful of newly minted helmets from various manfacturers each year and sends them to an independent lab to be tested. Every year half of them fail.
Below are the helmets tested in one year. Some are compliant "approved" and some are not. You should be able to tell by looking right? Keep in mind that if half of the few helmets tested each year always fail then half of those not tested would fail. Simple logic. Given that you MUST by LAW wear one that passes then you would have to be able to know it by looking, right? Otherwise it would be guessing on your part, or a cops part, and that would be a violation of your due process rights under the 4th ammendment. Right?
So tell me which you think are illegal, and which are not. I will reveal the answers later.
