Bikies and other criminal gang members could be searched by NSW police without a warrant, under new anti-gun laws proposed by state Labor.
Opposition leader John Robertson will introduce legislation to parliament that would allow police to search people, their homes or vehicles using a Firearms Prohibition Order or FPO.
Under current laws, police do not have the power to search people with only an FPO.
Mr Robertson says he wants to give police the powers they need to crack down on gun violence on Sydney's streets.
