Join ABATE Local 6 and Mayor Filner for the Barry and Carol Sandberg Memorial Ride
from Mt. Soledad to Flinn Springs Inn (15505 Olde Highway 80, El Cajon, CA 92021).
Meet at noon at the ABATE Local 6 meeting in Kate Sessions Park in Pacific Beach or at
Mount Soledad at 1 pm. Memorial ride to Flinn Springs for a celebration.
Let’s celebrate our friends life and remind our community that we will never forget this
couple and will not rest until their murderer is brought to justice. Barry and Carol were
murdered in their home on May 7, 2009. This case remains unsolved after 4 years. We
need your help and support.
The Governor’s Office and San Diego County Crime Stoppers are offering a reward of
up to $51,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in this case.

and Carol Sandberg were members of ABATE Local 6 for many years when
they were tragically murdered 4 years ago. Thanks goes to Red and JD
who have worked with the police department so that they continue to try
and solve this case.
This
year Mayor Bob Filner will be at Mt. Soledad to honor Barry and Carol.
Please join us at the ABATE meeting at 12 noon in Kate Sessions Park
and then ride the short distance to Mt. Soledad Cross to pay tribute to
Barry and Carol. From there we will ride to the Flinn Springs Inn in El
Cajon and join the ABATE Local 6 Motorcycle Awareness Party. Food and
drink will be available. Flyers for the ABATE Party will be available
