Honor Injured Heroes Who Can't Be Home for the Holidays

OFF THE WIRE

Appreciate Time With Family
This Season

When you’re home for the holidays and surrounded by loved ones, your heart is filled with joy.

But for so many brave heroes, it may take months or sometimes even years to experience that feeling again. Your continued support of WWP life-changing programs will help bring that day closer.
Dear caring friend,

The line from the old familiar song is right: “There’s no place like home for the holidays.” But sadly, hundreds of America’s wounded heroes will be spending this holiday season far from their homes and loved ones.

Whether having recently arrived at a U.S. military medical center to receive care for battlefield injuries or undergoing yet another surgery for wounds suffered years ago, many of our nation’s injured servicemen and women can only dream of being home for the holidays.

As you celebrate this season, please keep the brave heroes who are living with visible and invisible wounds — constant reminders of the sacrifices they made defending our freedom — in your thoughts. Your support of Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) programs will help thousands of warriors who've served our country transition back to civilian life and begin building productive futures.

Knowing they are empowered and honored by supporters like you will help ease the pain and loneliness recovering service members feel as they miss out on cherished traditions and gatherings with family and friends. Indeed, reassuring warriors that they’ll never be forgotten is the most meaningful holiday gift you can give.

Please help make this the beginning of a happy — and healing — holiday season for all wounded men and women in uniform with your gift of $50, $75, $100, or more to WWP.

Thank you for sharing the spirit of the season with America’s heroes.

Sincerely,

Steven Nardizzi
