Police Assistant Commissioner of Crime Stephen Fontana joined us on Statewide
Drive this afternoon to discuss the police crackdown on a motorcycle club in
North East Victoria.
Members of the Tramps Motorcycle Club had their gun
licences suspended and weapons seized in August.
The Club is now
threatening legal action against Victoria Police, with the Club's lawyer John
Suta arguing the Tramps aren't an outlaw motorcycle gaxxx as they have no
criminal records and were not charged during the recent Police raids.
The
Assistant Commissioner told Nicole Chvastek a review is underway and a decision
is expected "soon".
