MID- WEST - Talk of the County

OFF THE WIRE
Seeing red
Isn’t it something to see Illinois installing these red-light cameras all over? You go to Wisconsin and all the way to Florida and never see these. Wisconsin is in the black and Illinois can’t bleed us enough. Get the left-wingers out of Illinois.
Jobs vs. handouts
When it comes to the November presidential election, there are only two issues concerning the economy. If you want a job, vote for Romney. If you want a handout, vote for Obama.
No helmet law
Get your facts straight. There is no motorcycle helmet law in Illinois.
What happened?
What happened to the Long John Silver’s on Lewis Avenue in Waukegan and why?
Welcome, Chick-fil-A
I think most people in Lake County would welcome a Chick-fil-A restaurant in their communities. They should start expanding north. There’s more people here that supports what their company president said than the Democratic politicians would have you believe.
Backbone
It’s sad to think with all his flip-flops, the only issue that Mitt Romney has shown any spine over is his tax returns.
Taxpayers’ money
The Democrats are having a hissy fit because of Ann Romney’s expensive blouse and her dressage horse. At least she’s spending Romney money — not taxpayers’ money — like the Democrats and their leader like to do.
All broken up
Funny thing about infrastructure, you never notice it until it goes away.
In step
What morals and values are stated in the U.S. Constitution? The only issue of morality addressed in the Constitution is the endorsement of slavery. If you believe in the perpetual enslavement and subjugation of people is justified, then you are in step with the Founding Fathers.
