NEVEDA - Jury being picked for Hells Angels trial in Vegas

OFF THE WIRE
Trial is beginning in Las Vegas for eight of 13 men charged in a December 2008 wedding chapel brawl between Hells Angels motorcycle club members and rival Mongols.
Court officials say jury selection began Monday before Clark County District Court Judge Michael Villani. Trial is expected to take four weeks.
Each of the defendants pleaded not guilty in July 2010 to felony and misdemeanor charges including attempted murder, battery, assault, conspiracy and taking part in activities of a criminal gang.
Authorities say the brawl broke out as Hells Angels who were leaving a wedding in downtown Las Vegas encountered three Mongols members. Six people were hurt.
Two defendants are accused of stabbing a Mongols member who planned to be married.
Defense attorneys say the men were acting in self-defense.
