AUSTRAILIA - Bikie boss a three-time bail loser

OFF THE WIRE
A third rejection of bail for a former bikie boss accused of torching a police paddy wagon has sparked lively scenes in a Sydney courtroom.
The moment Scott Allen Orrock, 47, was formally refused bail on Thursday a supporter mocked the proceedings with applause and another muttered, "Thank you, Barry O'Farrell."
The remark was a reference to comments made by the Premier Barry O'Farrell in April when he publicly chastised the local court for allowing Orrock bail.
It prompted Judge Helen Syme to fire back, "Excuse me, this is a court not an entertainment venue".
Orrock's barrister Deone Provera on Thursday failed to convince Downing Centre Court that the mental health of his client's twin 12-year-old daughters could be at risk, despite an affidavit from his second wife and a letter from a GP.
"There is no evidence before me that the situation for the children ... is going to change as a result of Mr Orrock being in custody," Judge Syme told the court.
Mr Provera also said Orrock's tattoo business in Newtown, in Sydney's inner west, was suffering in his absence but did not tender any financial documents to show a decline.
"I cannot make evidence up," Judge Syme said in response.
The court also heard Orrock had been on bail for a total of 17 years over previous legal matters and had turned up to all of his required court appearances.
He is said to be a former boss of the Nomads bikie gxxg and is currently an associate of the Hells Angels.
Orrock is currently charged with setting fire to the paddy wagon parked outside his tattoo parlour in the early hours of April 20.
He is also charged with threatening to damage property and four counts of intimidating police.
The Supreme Court revoked his bail in May and a local court denied his second bail application later that month.
Judge Syme brought forward his trial date to October 8.
