AUSTRALIA - Bikie murder witnesse granted bail after refusing to cooperate with police..

OFF THE WIRE
TWO witnesses who refused to cooperate with police over the fatal shooting of Lone Wolf bikie Neal Todorovski have been granted bail. John Haper Leger, 32, and Matthew Edward Lewis, 23, who police allege are also Lone Wolf members, appeared in Sydney's Central Local Court today charged with a number of offences, including concealing a serious indictable offence.
Leger and Lewis failed in their first attempt for bail in mid-January.
Detectives have since charged Sydney man Tarek Abdallah, 25, with Mr Todorovski's murder after extraditing him from Perth.
Police allege that Abdallah shot dead the 37-year-old outside his Sans Souci unit, in Sydney's south, on January 4.
Todorovski, Leger and Lewis were armed with a .22 calibre handgun, knuckledusters and a 30cm kitchen knife, respectively, when they approached Abdallah, police allege.
Police say Leger and Lewis assaulted Abdallah before he managed to break free and scramble for his gun inside a black four-wheel drive.
Abdallah allegedly fired a number of shots and Mr Todorovski suffered several wounds including a bullet to the head.
Abdallah has also been charged with shooting with intent to murder for allegedly firing five shots at Leger before speeding off.
When police arrived they found Leger, Lewis and Todorovski's wife standing over the body.peBoth men refused to speak to police.
At their bail hearing on January 12, the pair's counsel John Korn suggested the affray and concealment charges were some sort of "punishment" for his clients not cooperating with police.
