AUSTRALIA - Charges laid following firearms and drug seizures - Strike Force Raptor

An alleged associate of an outlaw motorcycle gxxg has been charged with drug and firearm offences following the execution of a search warrant near Lithgow.
About 7.30am on Friday (16 December 2011), officers attached to Strike Force Raptor executed a search warrant at residential premises on the Great Western Highway at South Bowenfels.
It will be alleged that during a search of the premises, police located and seized a stolen double-barrel shotgun, ammunition and a firing mechanism for a rifle.
A total of 20 hydroponically grown cannabis plants with an estimated street value of $58,000 were allegedly located, along with 275 grams of drying cannabis and bags containing cannabis. Amphetamines plus equipment used in the supply of drugs were also allegedly found.
A 30-year-old man was arrested and taken to Lithgow Police Station where he was charged with enhanced indoor cultivate cannabis for commercial purpose, possess prohibited drug (cannabis), possess prohibited drug (amphetamines), possess prohibited drug (cannabis seeds), possess ammunition, possess unauthorised firearm, possess unregistered firearm, not keep firearm safely, and receiving stolen property.
He will appear in Lithgow Local Court 12 January 2012.
Another man at the premises was allegedly found in possession of a small quantity of cannabis. He was arrested and taken to Lithgow Police Station where he was issued a cannabis caution.
Strike Force Raptor was established by the State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad in 2009 and is a proactive, high-impact operation targeting outlaw motorcycle gxxgs and their alleged associated criminal enterprises.
