A MAN accused of importing steroids will face Sutherland Local Court next month. Strike Force Raptor police arrested the Caringbah man, 26, at a Cronulla supplements store in Croydon Street last Wednesday.
Police allege the man is associated with the Rebels motorcycle gang.
Customs and Border Protection intercepted a package with 50 packets of anabolic steroids inside earlier last week and contacted police.
Specialist police targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and their criminal activity replaced the contents of the package with another substance.
When the package reached Cronulla, police arrested the man who was working inside.
A small amount of steroids and other items were taken by police after a later search of a Caringbah South property, police said.
The man was charged with importing a prohibited item and possessing a prescribed restricted substance.
Police inquires relating to a second person who was not at home at the time continue.
