Harley Davidson for accused marijuana trafficker COURT 19 Oct, 2011 12:23 PM THREE people charged with growing and trafficking a $500,000 crop of marijuana at Chiltern have had their bail conditions relaxed and in one case had their prized Harley Davidson returned. Sally Gibson, 40, Shane Emmins, 45, and Kevin Nightingale, 50, were charged with a series of drug offences following the a police raid in April, including trafficking cannabis and cultivating a commercial quantity of the drug.
But yesterday the first day of a two-day committal hearing was adjourned by the Office of Police Prosecution until next March.
A botanist, central to the case and to appear by video link, at the Wodonga Magistrates court was also unavailable.
Solicitors representing the co-accused argued and were granted their costs for the abandoned two-day hearing.
They also won a reprieve in the bail conditions for their clients.
All three will no longer have to report to police on a weekly basis.
