GEORGIA - Bikers hit streets to support wounded Marine

ATHENS, Ga. -- More than 250 bikers stormed Athens over the weekend in support of a Marine who lost his legs below the knees while serving in Afghanistan.

The "Freedom Isn't Free" motorcycle ride, in honor of Michael Boucher, started at Cycle World of Athens and traveled through downtown Watkinsville. Supporters held a fundraising softball game Friday a fundraiser at the Blind Pig Tavern on Saturday after the ride and Lane Creek Golf Course will host a benefit golf tournament on Monday. His parents, Jim and Kim Boucher, said they were overwhelmed by the support.

The Athens Banner-Herald reported that the money raised from the ride will help make the Bouchers' home wheelchair- friendly.

After the ride, Boucher thanked the crowd via webcam.
