Ride to the Flags

Founded
2008
About
A motorcycle ride to benefit our heroes and their families.
Description
The Ride to the Flags was started in 2008, accompanying the Wave of Flags 9/11 Memorial at Pepperdine University that began that same year.

Although not officially associated with the collegiate memorial - the ride does end at the memorial for a short service.

Every year the ride tries to offer something new and/or different. In 2010, the ride began at the Naval Base Ventura County - Pt. Mugu and r...ode through the mountains of Hidden Valley to Pepperdine's front lawn. In 2010, the event was Sponsored by the Gary Sinise Charitable Foundation and raised money for the Stephen Siller FDNY Foundation, Semper Fi Fund, and Snowball Express.

The ride, which does not seek a minimum donation, raised $17,500 through the motorcycle riders. Along with residual operating funds from the Heideggers as well as a generous donation from Gary Sinise and his foundation. The Ride to the Flags was able to raise $30,000 on 9/11/10.

Mission
Our goal is to include all bikers who wishes to pay tribute to the victims and heroes on 9/11. Because of this, the ride is an "any donation" ride - with riders giving what they can to the charities. We trust that the bikers will give big. They have.
Awards
Thank you to all of our volunteers, riders, and donors who make this all possible.
