INDIANA - 4 motorcycle gang members among 8 charged by feds

OFF THE WIRE
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Federal prosecutors in Indianapolis say four members of the Sons of Silence motorcycle gang are among eight people arrested on methamphetamine trafficking, money laundering, and firearms charges.
U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett announced the charges Saturday.
Authorities say the main indictment charges five people with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Two of the defendants remain at large while the others have been arrested. One of the gang members also is charged with possessing a handgun with an obliterated serial number that was stolen from an Indianapolis police car in 2009.
The charges resulted from a four-month investigation by the FBI's Safe Streets Task Force including raids at the Sons of Silence Indianapolis clubhouse during which more than 1 ½ pounds of meth, more than 40 guns and $20,000 in cash were seized.
